Concordia Summer Prep Camp for Grade 11 in Waterloo (Two Weeks)

STUDIES

This course introduces the mathematical concept of the function by extending students’ experiences with linear and quadratic relations.

Course

  • Functions, Grade 11, University Prep (MCR3U)

The course selections are made after the application deadline. Unless you are notified of overlapping issues or course cancellations, all your course selections are confirmed.

Camp Schedule

Each camp lasts for two weeks and starts on Mondays. After the two weeks are over, another camp will start the following Monday.

Students will

  • Investigate properties of discrete and continuous functions, including trigonometric and exponential functions
  • Represent functions numerically, algebraically and graphically
  • Solve problems involving applications of functions
  • Investigate inverse functions
  • Develop an understanding of how to determine equivalent algebraic expressions.
  • Reason mathematically and communicate their thinking as they solve multi-step problems.

Prerequisites: Principles of Mathematics, Completion of Grade 10 Academics
